On January 1, 2003, the Family Education and Resource Center and Healthy Families Manitowoc County integrated services, becoming Lakeshore Family Resources (LFR). Lakeshore Family Resources offers both Center-based and Home Visiting services free of charge. The purpose of LFR is to offer a wide variety of services to all parents in Manitowoc County based on their strengths, needs, and requests.
The center-based services provide parent education and support to promote positive parenting skills and to promote a nurturing home environment. LFR offers a variety of services to families with young children – all are open to the community and offered free of charge. Services include: parenting classes, workshops, playgroups, special family events, teen parenting, warm-line, lending library, Baby's Closet and Clothing Closet.

Lakeshore Family Resources offers home visiting services to parents with young children. LFR Home Visiting Program collaborates closely with the Early Head Start Home Visiting Program to link parents with young children to home visiting services. LFR Home Visiting Program serves families who have children birth to age five who desire regular home visits.

COLLABORATIVE AGENCIES
Lakeshore Family Resources is a collaborative effort with CESA #7 Head Start/Early Head Start, Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc County Public Health and Human Services Departments, Aurora Medical Center, and Lakeshore CAP.
