PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS:
Mischief Makers is a playgroup organized for children aged 2 and up and their parents. Each day includes art, story, music and group play. Registration is not required for playgroups.
Frolicking Friends provides fun activities for children aged 2 and up and their parents. Registration is not necessary.
Rockin' Rattlers provides parents with a gathering place to meet new friends and watch their children interact and play with other children. There is no planned agenda and registration is not required.
Hot Topics - Join us for monthly "Hot Topics" workshops - on
topics of interest to families: Mondays, 6:30 - 8:00 PM. Childcare
is provided and registration is required.

Go To Sleep! What really is the best way to get children to sleep and have a good night’s rest yourself? |
Pizza Fundraiser: Volunteers are needed to make the pizzas on April 20th. Shifts are from 9-11AM, 11-1PM, and clean-up and packaging from 1-3PM. Childcare will be available!!! Please call to sign up to help any of these times. Please call Ruth at 686-8702 or Jennifer Owens at 686-1763.
Three Week Parenting Class: A shortened version of The Nurturing Program will be held to discuss the basics of positive discipline in a fun and lively discussion format. It's for anyone who wants to review, or for those who haven't had a chance to take a class and want some new ideas in this challenging role of being a parent. The class is sponsored by the Manitowoc Public Schools and will be held at Riverview but is open to anyone in the county. Childcare will be provided for children up to school age; registration is required.
Tuesdays, April 12, 19, and 26
Mornings from 9AM - 11AM or evenings from 6PM - 8PM
Infant-Toddler Class: In these classes, parents will share the joys and frustrations of parenting infants and toddlers and how becoming a parent has changed their lives. Information on infant/toddler health, crying and schedule problems, appropriate expectations of children, brain development and positive parenting techniques is provided. This session these classes will be in a three week series. Childcare will be provided and registration is required.
Wednesday s, March 30 and April 6 from 9:30-11:00 AM
Parenting Your Teen: New to Lakeshore Family Resources, this class will focus on parenting teens today! Topics discussed will be reasonable expectations and rules, changes, emotions, respect and communication, handling conflict, peers, responsibilities, decision-making, and others. Co-facilitated by Ruth and Barb, this class will be fun and interactive! Registration is required for this three-week series.
Wednesdays May 4, 11, and 18 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Mom's Group: This is open to any mother who wants a relaxing evening to get away and visit with other moms. It meets one evening a month at 6:00 PM at a different restaurant each time. The April 14th event will meet at Lighthouse Inn. For more information, please contact Lakeshore Family Resources.
