Parenting Class: The Nurturing Program is designed for parents of children aged 2 and up. It will meet for eight weeks on Wednesdays with both a morning class and an evening class being offered. Parents will learn the basics of assertive, nurturing discipline techniques: unconditional love, praise, limit setting, appropriate expectations of children, choice giving, redirection, ignoring and time-out. The class is run by two facilitators (Ruth and Barb) and is informal, supportive and fun! Childcare will be provided for children up to school age; registration is required.
Wednesdays: January 26 - March 16.
Mornings from 9:30 - 11:00AM or evenings from 6:30 - 8:00PM.
Mom's Group: This is open to any mother who wants a relaxing evening to get away and visit with other moms. It meets one evening a month at 6:00 PM at a different restaurant each time. The March 10th event will meet at Tony’s Pizza. For more information, please contact Lakeshore Family Resources.
