PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS:

 

Mischief Makers is a playgroup organized for children aged 2 and up and their parents.  Each day includes art, story, music and group play. Registration is not required for playgroups. 

 

Frolicking Friends provides fun activities for children aged 2 and up and their parents.  Registration is not necessary.

 

Rockin' Rattlers provides parents with a gathering place to meet new friends and watch their children interact and play with other children.  There is no planned agenda and registration is not required.

 

Hot Topics - Join us for monthly "Hot Topics" workshops - on topics of interest to families:  Mondays, 6:30 - 8:00 PM.   Childcare is provided and registration is required.

Internet Safety!

Learn how to insure safety for you and your children on-line.

 

Parenting Your Teen:  Lakeshore Family Resources provides this class to focus on parenting teens today!  Topics discussed will be reasonable expectations and rules, changes, emotions, respect and communication, handling conflict, peers, responsibilities, decision-making, and others.  Co-facilitated by Ruth and Barb, this class will be fun and interactive!   Registration is required for this three-week series.

    Wednesdays, May 4, 11, 18 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM

 

Developmental Screening:  The Birth to Three agency will hold a free developmental screening at the beginning of May here at Lakeshore Family Resources.  If you have any questions about your child's development, or just want to see if your child is on track developmentally, sign up for a half hour time slot with a Birth to Three professional.  Call 686-8702 for information and to register.

 

Dad 'N Me - Make It For Mother's Day:  Preschool children ages 2-6 and their Dads are invited to Lakeshore Family Resources to make a Mother's Day gift onMay 7 9:30-11:00.  Please pre-register by calling Ruth at 686-8702.

 

Mom's Group:  This is open to any mother who wants a relaxing evening to get away and visit with other moms.  It meets one evening a month at 6:30 PM at a different restaurant each time.  The May 12th event will meet at Four Seasons.  For more information, please contact Lakeshore Family Resources.
