PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS:

COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER - We are again selling cookie dough as a fundraiser - just in time for the holidays!  Sell cookie dough to your friends and relatives, make some "dough" for Lakeshore Family Resources, and have some good eating too!  These tubs of cookie dough come frozen and can be kept in the freezer or fridge - many delicious flavors for sale.  There are several varieties of coffee too.  Pick up your brochures in October and turn them back in by the first week in November.  Dough will be ready to be picked up the first week of December!

Mischief Makers is a playgroup organized for children aged 2 and up and their parents.  Each day includes art, story, music and group play. Registration is not required for playgroups.

Frolicking Friends provides fun activities for children aged 2 and up and their parents.  Registration is not necessary.

Rockin' Rattlers provides parents with a gathering place to meet new friends and watch their children interact and play with other children.  There is no planned agenda and registration is not required.

Parenting Class - Wednesdays - The Nurturing Program

Our popular parenting class for parents with children ages 2 to 6 (or older!) The Nurturing Program, will be meeting for nine weeks on Wednesday mornings and evenings.  In this program, parents will learn the basics of assertive, nurturing discipline techniques:  loving unconditionally, praise, limit setting, appropriate expectations of children, choice giving, redirection, ignoring and time-out.  The class is run by two facilitators and is informal, supportive and fun!  A program is also provided for preschool children.  These classes always fill up fast, so call soon!  Registration is required.

Three-Week Parenting Class - Tuesdays

Can't come to a longer class?  Or do you just want to refresh your parenting skills?  Then this three-week class is for you!  A shortened version of the Nurturing Program will be held to discuss the basics of positive discipline in a FUN and lively discussion format.  It's for anyone who has taken the Nurturing Program in the past and wants to review, or for those who need some new ideas in this challenging role of being a PARENT.  This class is sponsored by the Manitowoc Public Schools and will be held at Riverview, but is open to anyone in the county.   This class meets on Tuesdays (October 14, 21, and 28) in the morning from 9AM - 11AM or in the evening from 6PM - 8PM.  Child are will be provided for children up to school age; registration is required.

HALLOWEEN / FALL PARTY - Join us in our costumes on Friday, October 29 for activities and games.  Registration is suggested for the fall party.

HOT TOPICS - Join us for monthly workshops on items of interest to families on Mondays from 6:30 - 8:00PM.  This fall we have some great guest speakers lined up.  Childcare is provided and registration is required.
