Rental Housing

Affordable Rental Housing is promoted and managed by Lakeshore CAP throughout Manitowoc County.  Income-eligible families, seniors and special needs adults can contact our office to find safe and decent rental housing.  Households can expect to pay 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent.  Applicants can expect reference and income verification.  Admission can be denied to any applicant whose habits and practices may be expected to have detrimental effects on other tenants or on the project's environment.

Rental Housing Development is designed to allow special needs adults selected by the Manitowoc and Door County Human Services Departments the opportunity to live outside an institutional setting.  Managed by Lakeshore CAP, in cooperation with a third party assisted living provider, special needs adults can expect to pay 30% of their adjusted gross income for rent.  The provider assists tenants with the daily activities experienced in a rental situation.  Currently clients are living in nine units scattered throughout Manitowoc and Door County.
