Emergency Food Pantry Services

Lakeshore CAP directly operates food pantry services in Door, Kewaunee, and Sheboygan counties.  The pantries strive to provide a balanced, three- to five-day supply of donated food and commodities to income-eligible households.   The pantries are client-choice, allowing the recipient to select food items preferred by members of the household.   Clients also receive nutritional information and are referred to other community services as necessary.  The pantries are managed by Lakeshore CAP staff, but operate with predominantly volunteer help.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the pantry in your community.

Lakeshore CAP facilitates the delivery of USDA commodities to pantries, soup kitchens and shelters in nine counties in Northeastern Wisconsin.   These facilities distribute donated food along with USDA commodities to income-eligible households.  Counties included are Calumet, Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Outagamie, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Washington and Waupaca.     Click here for locations of USDA Food Pantries.

Donations of Food

Lakeshore CAP has the capacity to receive surplus food for distribution at local pantries.  With both dry storage and freezer space, donated food remains fresh until distribution is possible.   If you have excess food or quality food in damaged packaging, please consider making it available to the hungry in your area.  For information, call us at (920) 682-3737 or (800) 924-0510 or send an email.
