The Manitowoc Area Homeless Hygiene Drive raised $24,867.50 in hygiene items and cleaning necessities.
Lakeshore CAP was proud to participate — and thanks all who donated!

Dear Lakeshore CAP Employees,

Thank you for participating in this year’s Help for the Homeless Hygiene Drive and helping make it a huge success. Everyday basic Items like soap and shampoo are not always readily available to our Manitowoc neighbors, and those in surrounding communities, who need them. Thanks to you, the drive raised $24,867.50 in hygiene items and cleaning necessities like toothpaste, laundry detergent, garbage bags, and disposable diapers.

All the donated items were brought to The Light Youth Center at Salvation Army where they were sorted. From there, volunteers and staff from the five local participating agencies counted the items. The collected items were then shared equally among Hope House (Lakeshore Interfaith Hospitality Network), Lutheran Social Services Runway and Youth Services (R.A.Y.S), InCourage formerly known as the Domestic Violence Shelter of Manitowoc County, The Salvation Army,  The Women’s and Men’s Teebox Living Home and The Haven of Manitowoc County with each organization receiving approximately $4,144.58 worth of items.  The attached pictures were taken at The Light in Manitowoc.

Your donations will help these local organizations keep their shelves stocked and these products can be offered at no cost to the low and no income children, families, and individuals served by these local non-profits. Thanks again for all that you have done to help our community.

Sincerely,

Lynda Beyer
