The Lakeshore Continuum of Care, a coalition of agencies whose goal is to end homelessness in our area, will be hosting the Director of the WI Balance of State, Carrie Poser, for an online go-to meeting for a 2-part series on homelessness in our area. The first part will take place on Monday, February 1 from 1-3pm. The topic will include how local homelessness issues relate to the big picture of homelessness across the state and nation, how to develop a more comprehensive system to address homelessness in our area and how to build our coalition to include local government, school systems, affordable housing developers, public housing authorities, law enforcement, and others for a more complete plan. Part 2 will take place on Monday, February 8th from 1-3pm and will look at local data that can help identify gaps, strengths and begin discussion about next steps needed to strengthen our coordinated efforts.
