TEFAP

Anyone in need of emergency and/or supplemental food is encouraged to apply for assistance at their local food pantries.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) at Lakeshore CAP is one of 16 groups in Wisconsin that help provide food to people in need.

As part of this program, we help distribute food from the USDA to local food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters in six counties: Door, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, and Washington.

Wisconsin families can get food through this program if their total household income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. There are no income eligibility criteria for persons who voluntarily seek meals at soup kitchens or homeless shelters.

People qualify based on the income they report. The income guidelines for 2025 are:

Household Size / Número de personas que viven en el
hogar

Monthly Income / Ingresos mensuales
