Wisconsin Nursing Program

Are you interested in becoming a healthcare professional, but are worried about the costs associated? Lakeshore CAP operates a Nursing Skills program called the Wisconsin Nursing Program in order to increase the number of persons in training to become a CNA, LPN, Medical Assistant, or RN in our area. Residents of Manitowoc, Door, Sheboygan, and Kewaunee county are eligible for this program!

What this program does:

The Wisconsin Nursing program provides up to $20,000 scholarship per eligible participant to support the cost of tuition and fees to “up-skill” work in a nursing profession (Tuition and fees will be paid directly to the educational institution).

Up to $5,000 per participant is also available to cover costs incurred while attending training including transportation to class (bus passes or gas cards), childcare while in class, and required supplies to attend class such as scrubs. (Participants cannot be reimbursed.)

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Eligible program participants will have a household income of at or below 80% CMI and be interested and able to complete training to obtain a job as a CNA, LPN, Medical Tech., Associate Degree Nurse, or RN by June 2025.
  • First come, first serve – limited applicants accepted.
  • Students currently in High School are not eligible to participate in this program.
